Summary[]
Felix shows up to Natalie's front door and knocks. He thinks again of what Zadkiel said about his "gross obsession" with Satan, and tells himself he'll finally get them out of his head. Natalie opens the door and is surprised to see him. He walks past her and into the house, and says he has to talk to his Master. Natalie, figuring he was one of Satan's friends, offers to make coffee. Felix approaches Satan while he sits on a beanbag. He apologizes for the intrusion, but asks if he knows his name. He explains that he's been dedicatedly following him since the beginning, but he can't remember being acknowledged a single time. He asks again if he knows his name. Satan simply stares at him. Felix prompts him a final time but only receives silence. Felix turns as tears sting his eyes. He marches out of the room and trucks into Natalie, knocking the tray of drinks out of her hands. She looks up at him as his tears fall on her face. He sits up and hastily wipes at his face. She asks if he's okay, but he commands her to leave him alone. He starts to walk away and she reaches out for him. He denies that he's crying and tells her not to follow him. She does anyway, and wraps her arms around him in a comforting gesture. Satan walks into the room and says his name, "Festus". Felix stops struggling in Natalie's arms and looks up, eyes wide. Satan recalls him following him around in Heaven and that he's quick-tempered. He says he knows the names of everyone who follows him. He explains that all he can do is be grateful for his followers. Felix tears up again, thanks him, and apologizes for doubting him. Satan tells him to stop leaking and warns him not to hurt Natalie unless he wants to hurt him as well. Natalie, still hugging Felix, says that they made a new friend, but he and Satan both yell "no".
